At The Friends Collaborative, we are committed to fostering Quaker education by providing need-based scholarships that make a Friends education accessible and affordable for more families. We strive to create greater collaboration and community among all Friends Schools.
We believe education is a powerful tool that can transform lives and create positive change in the world. Operating on the Quaker belief that every person brings unique value to our world, Friends schools provide an education rooted in inquiry and social responsibility. Quaker schools ensure accessibility and affordability for children of all racial, ethnic, economic, and religious backgrounds.
Formed by a group of individuals who were passionate about increasing access to Friends education, The Friends Collaborative was first approved in 2016 to raise and distribute funds through the Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program. From an initial group of 10 schools, TFC is now a proud collaborative of 22 PA Quaker Schools, partnering with multiple non-Quaker affiliate organizations.
